William "Bill" Lewis

William (Billy) Herman Lewis passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Billy was born on June 18, 1946, in Lonoke, Arkansas to Walter Alvin Lewis and Daisy LeHew Lewis. He graduated from Ole Main High School in North Little Rock in 1964. In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Army with his best friend Ronnie Duncan. Together they served in Viet Nam during 1968 and 1969. For his valiant efforts he was awarded, among others, the Bronze Star for his service to this country.

Billy was an avid outdoorsman and animal lover, especially his horse Dandy.

Billy is survived by his daughters, Shayla Lewis (Jason) of Romance and Shanna Lewis Welker (Derek) of Maumelle; grandchildren, Lyndsey Morgan Holloway, Brennan William Welker and Barrett Alicia; sisters, Shirley Collier (Joe) of North Little Rock and Karen Masching (Terry) of Little Rock; his stepfamily, Felicia Harris, Heather Harris Bishop(Brad) children Makayla & Isabell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents and one brother, Jerry Lewis.

There will be an outdoor celebration of Billy’s life on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 3:00 PM at 2740 Hwy. 31 N, Lonoke, Arkansas. Dress comfortably and please wear your mask.
