Stephen Wesley Myers, 59, of Lonoke was called home November 11th, 2020. He was born April 4, 1961 to the late Troy Myers and late Mary Virginia Raczkowski.
Steve followed in the footsteps of his grandfathers and father working in construction. He retired from the glass industry after 36 years and returned back to his carpentry heritage. His craftsmanship can be found in many homes all around Lonoke County and beyond. Those that knew Steve, knew his woodworking skills were an art form and that if he couldn’t build it, then nobody could build it.
Steve also had a strong love and passion for the outdoors and hunting. Some of his greatest accomplishments could be seen hanging on the walls of his home. There wasn’t anything he loved more than Kansas hunting trips with his grandsons, Walker and Lane and daughter, Tiffany. He possessed so much knowledge of the outdoors and carpentry and if he told you something about either area, you knew to take it to heart.
Steve was a simple man with simple needs and knew the difference between a want and a need. Steve was raised to be a man’s man with strong morals and values. His life story was seen through his hands. They were strong and firm from the years of hard work and every callous was a mark of love and sacrifice he made for the ones he loved. He might not have loved a lot, but when he did he loved hard. For Steve, love was an action, not just a word.
He is survived by his daughters Melissa Hestir, Cindy Bryant (Elton), Mari Perry, Tiffany Turner (Lance), Chasity Myers (Sasha), and Kepi Myers; 7 grandchildren he loved dearly Walker and Lane, Savannah and Sailor, River, Ryne, and Rylee; siblings Kevin Myers, Leslie Myers, and Susan Revall.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery in Carlisle, Arkansas. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Arkansas.
