Obituary

Carolyn Jackson High of Lonoke passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022 in her home. She was born on October 12, 1941 to Earl and Lucy Fletcher Jackson. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, her husband, J.L. High and her brother E. Fletcher Jackson.

Carolyn attended the University of Arkansas during the great football years of the early sixties where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She thoroughly enjoyed every minute there with what were became her lifelong friends. Later, with her degree in Library Science in hand, she became a teacher and librarian in a fast growing Cabot where she loved the town, her students and their parents. After retirement, she retired with her husband to enjoy raising purebred cattle as pets on a 30 acre range. Happy hour was always happy there.

While there is rejoicing in heaven, her survivors, 1st cousins Alex and Jeff Fletcher and her husband's sons, Blake and Sam High and their families are saddened by our loss. Graveside service by Boyd Funeral Home will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 13 at Wattensaw Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her husband.
