Louise Perry

July 29, 1926 — July 1, 2021

Carlisle, Arkansas

July 1, 2021 we lost our Mother and friend, Louise Perry, she was 94 years old. Born in 1926 to William Henry Squires and wife Lillie Bertha (Russenberger) Squires, she was the oldest of five children, Ruth Squires Cheek of Houston, Texas(d), Gordon Squires of Little Rock, Arkansas(d), Alfred Squires of Jerusalem, Arkansas(d) and Theresa Gresham of Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was an outgoing individual to everyone she met. She went to work for Bell Telephone in 1944 as an operator. In 1952, she married Dawson Perry of Carlisle, Arkansas. Carlisle was her home until her death. In 1956, she quit her job to have her first child, and then went back to work in 1967 for Southwestern Bell until she retired in 1988.

In 1947, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. One of the greatest pleasures she had was talking to people about the Bible and the hope and comfort found within.

Always a giving person, her children often referred to her as “Everybody’s Mom” because she never met a stranger. She was a gracious hostess and loved to cook and entertain.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Perry and son, Wade Perry (Amber); grandsons, Haiden Leavitt and Heath Perry; sister, Theresa Gresham; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank our dear friends and neighbors for their phone calls, cards, and loving support.
