Jerry Ingle, Sr.

June 11, 1958 — May 15, 2023

Carlisle, Arkansas

Jerry “Jingles” Lynn Ingle Sr. made his final journey home May 15,2023, after a private 3yr. battle of Metastatic Melanoma.

Born June 11th, 1958, in Little Rock Ar. to Lee Elik and Lelia Bell Ingle. He was a devoted Baptist in his early years going place to place with his family singing the praises of Jesus. He graduated Carlisle High School and joined the Army National Guard where he proudly served as a medic.  He met the love of his life Debbye Andrews the summer of 1975 on the Wattensaw Bayou Bridge. They reunited in 1992 and made it official on July 28, 1995, and have been getting on each other’s nerves ever since.

Jingles spent most of his time outdoors. He loved it so much he chose a career as the right-hand man to several farming families throughout the communities.  There are not many places on the Prairie that he didn’t farm, fish, or hunt.  He loved teaching his kids and grandkids the art of both hunting and fishing often showing the sweet spots and sharing the secret “Jingles” Jig. Countless memories have been made with those who were lucky enough to have known him.  He was a huge sports fan. If he was inside, you could guarantee sports were on and he and Debbye were cheering on the Hogs.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Warner; and sister Joan Turner.

He is survived by his wife Debbye; sister, Sissy Drye; brothers Dennis (Karen) Ingle, (Twin) Terry (Gina) Ingle, Roger (Julie) Ingle, Janie Adams; sister-in-law, Shirley Warner; brother-in-law, Lester (shorty) Turner; children, Jerry and Anna Ingle, Chris and Sarah Ingle, Ashley Ingle, Cortney and Fever McElyea, Stephanie Minor (Zach Matthews) and Alex Minor; grandchildren, Riley, Levi, RoLynn, Eivin, Ingle Allie, Leah, Sierra Ingle, Megan-Patrick Tipton, Jasmyn-Nathan Isbell, Haven JoLee McElyea, Abel and Ember Minor; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Sawyer, Kolton, Avery Tipton, Laiton Walker; along with a slew of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

To many he was considered a man’s man.  Some say he was hard maybe even stubborn but to his family he was a passionate yet a simple man. To know him was to love him, do right be right, don’t make a fuss over him, but don’t leave without saying you love him.

That's our Husband, Dad, Papaw, and Friend. That’s our Jingles!
