Jackie joined the Army but for much of his career he was a meat cutter working at various large and small markets starting with the family meat packing business. He lived in Austin with his wife Mildred. They liked traveling coast to coast allowing Ms. Mildred to follow her passion to see and explore the beautiful lighthouses. Jackie (JD) was a lifelong fisherman enjoying trips with George, his fishing buddy as well anyone else available to wet a hook. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, and passionate about the Razorbacks and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends telling stories or just relishing the next generations antics. Jackie and Mildred also appreciated the opportunity to observe the wildlife that would visit their home while sitting on the front porch or looking out the den window. He will be missed but will always be in our hearts.
