Obituary

Billy Gene Evans, 79, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on May 19, 2022. He was born in Des Arc, Arkansas on March 9, 1943, to the late James and Odell Evans.

Bill attended Lonoke schools and then joined the Army and served in Korea. After the military he worked for the Union Pacific railroad for 38 years before retiring 19 years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors and visits from family and friends.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Peggy Evans.

He is survived by his brother, James Evans; children, Gene (Sharon) of Cabot, Russel (April) of Greenbrier, Kristy (Danny) Rodriguez of Maumelle; grandchildren, Cody, Marla, Hayden, Chase, Ryleigh, Ronnie, Ashton, Emily, Georgia Grace, and Cayne; great-grandchildren, Faith and Matthew; nephews and nieces, Jimbo, Jeff, Jada and Joy.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, May 24,2022 at Lonoke Cemetery in Lonoke, Arkansas. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Arkansas.
