Obituary

Betty Jo Cole, (Dun Dun) age 81 of Lonoke went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 21, 2021, where she will join her beloved sweetie Robert Cole. She is survived by two children, Janie (Derrick) Grimes and Philip (Tracy) Cole; sister, Ann (Bo) Pearson, four brothers, Marlin York, Charlie (Linda) York, Faye York, Rodger (Mary) York.  She has been blessed with seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Dun Dun was a seamstress and worked for many years at Kellwood in Lonoke where she was a line supervisor.  She offered her sewing talent in so many ways at church and in the community.  After retiring she worked as a substitute teacher at Lonoke High School. She was a servant at Steel Bridge Baptist Church for many years working in the kitchen, VBS, and church camp.  She loved to travel, go for walks and work in her yard, she absolutely loved being outdoors.  She loved watching her grandchildren play sports, cooking for the whole family and caring for her beloved sweetie.  She was always happy and her smile and laughter were contagious.

Dun Dun lived a very happy and content life.  She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; always thinking of others first. She touched so many people, and was loved by all. She loved our Lord and Savior and is rejoicing now with her sweetie in Heaven.  “To know her was to love her.”
