Shirley Ann McGraw

On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, Shirley Ann Bazarow McGraw, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Shirley was born in Possom Waller, Arkansas, to JW and Betty Jo Beam Bazarow on July 12, 1943.

She graduated from DeWitt High School in 1961. Later that year, on December 15, she married Arthur Ray McGraw. They had three children; John David, Leah and Amber; six grandchildren, Tabor, Gabriella, Kelsey, Carter, Caden and Caleb.

Shirley retired after twenty five years, as the librarian for the Lonoke-Prairie County Library System. She loved all things books and genealogy. You could almost always find her deep in research at the Lonoke County Museum. She authored the publication, Lonoke County Arkansas: A Pictorial History. Shirley was a member of the Lonoke Lions Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Shirley supported her children one hundred percent in all of their endeavors. She was a proud Mimi and loved by all her grandchildren dearly.

Shirley is preceded in death by, her parents, Joe William Bazarow and Betty Jo Beam Bazarow; daughter, Amber Rae McGraw Correa; brothers, Jerry Wayne Bazarow and Jerry Don Myers; and sisters, Jodyne Gilbert and Bonnie Brewer.

 She leaves behind, her former husband, Arthur McGraw; children, John David (Amanda) McGraw and Leah (Nathan) Lemley; sister, Sherry (Larry) Selig; brother, Greg Bazarow; grandchildren, Tabor (Hannah) McGraw, Gabriella Reiko Correa, Kelsey McGraw, Jake Turner, Carter Lemley, Caden Lemley and Caleb Lemley, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Lonoke First Assembly of God, with a visitation prior to the service staring at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Cedarcrest memorial Gardens, in DeWitt, Arknasas.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local library, or the Lonoke County Museum.
