Regina Boyles

October 2, 1928 — June 29, 2023

Lonoke, Arkansas

Regina June Hedrick, 94, was born on October 2, 1928, to C. D. (Duke) and Mazie Hedrick on a farm south of Carlisle, AR.  She was a 1946 graduate of Carlisle High School and attended Capital City Business College.  She was an Eastern Star member and also a member of the Lonoke United Methodist Church for over 70 years.  Regina’s back door was always open with an offer of sweet tea!

Regina met and married Pete Boyles in 1949 and remained married 59 years until his death in 2008. Regina worked in the Lonoke Public Schools’ Cafeteria System for over 20 years.  She truly enjoyed interacting and feeding the children. She was a Jackrabbit fan for over 50 years attending all her children’s school events but she was a Carlisle (Bison) Girl at heart and was quick to tell you!

Regina was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a room mother and a taxi driver and anything else that was needed.  She volunteered at Lonoke County Cares, Lonoke County Museum and partied with friends at Newbury Court.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Pete W. Boyles; sons, Harrell W. and Gary L.; and brothers, Dean and Rex (JR) Hedrick.

She is survived by her children, Tanya Hensley, Brad (Debbie) Boyles, and Tina Boyles; daughters-in-law, Renee Boyles and Jimmie Boyles; and since 1980, adopted daughter, Phyllis Elam. Nana/Grandma is survived by grandchildren, Peter, Sharrell,  Preston (Sarah) Boyles, Reina (JB), and Richare,  Matt (Janette) Boyles, Tammy,  Korey, Kara (Harvey) Wilson, Kyle (Hope) Hensley,  Lydia (Adam) Cain,  and Annie (Aaron) Harris; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Maddi, Taylor, Lilly, Matthew, Caroline, Andrew , Emma, Clint, Jackson, Nolan, Jaxon,  Mazie, Eva, Angie, and Tabitha; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Baptist Home Health, Emily, Lorechia, and team and Baptist Hospice Kristie, Connie and team.
