Raymond "King" Gerald Warren

Raymond “King” Gerald Warren, 86, of Conway, Arkansas passed peacefully Monday, May 26, 2025, at home with his family. Raymond was born on July 15, 1938, in Carlisle, Arkansas to Nancy and Otha Warren.

From the age of 11, Raymond has loved to play his guitar and did so almost daily. He has collected many over the years. Raymond enjoyed sharing his music with others and thoroughly enjoyed this gift from God. He always had his Bible on his nightstand and loved to attend and play music in church. When he was still able, Raymond loved to hunt, especially duck hunting. Friends would always tell him to enter into the duck-calling contest in Stuttgart, but he never did. Many say he would have won, no doubt. Raymond was also a very proud United States Navy Veteran, having served in the sixties. He was a loving father, and grandfather and will be missed terribly by all that knew and loved him.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Otha & Nancy Warren; brothers, Otha Jr. and Delbert Warren; sister, Betty Sue Bates; and his wife Hester Warren.

He is survived by his daughter, Christy Warren of Mayflower; son, Raymond Warren Jr. of Conway; the mother of his children Sandra Ward of Mayflower; grandchildren, Jacob Glover (Taylor) and Penelope Tindall; great grandchildren, Izabella Ward, Stella Glover and Tripp Glover; nephew Otha Wayne Warren (Normandy); niece Linda Wood (David); and a host of great nieces and nephews and friends he considered family.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Boyd Funeral Home in the staterooms. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday, May 30, 2025, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Carlisle Cemetery.
