Paul Junior Baldwin

Oct 12, 1943 — Oct 28, 2026

Carlisle, Arkansas

Paul Junior Baldwin, born October 12, 1943, in Arkansas, was a longtime resident of Carlisle, Arkansas. He was the son of Stewart Baldwin and Addie Mae Phillips Baldwin and lived a life shaped by hard work, a love for the outdoors, and a knack for fixing just about anything.

Paul proudly served two years in the United States Army before spending much of his working life as a mechanic. He was a natural when it came to working with his hands. If something was broken, he was likely to take a look at it, take it apart, and see what he could do to get it running again. He could often be found working on lawn mowers, tinkering with whatever happened to be lying around, or finding a way to make something useful out of something most people would have thrown away.  Sitting still was never really his style if there was something that needed fixing.

When he wasn't working on something, Paul enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt, grow a garden, and farm. He enjoyed spending time messing around outside, keeping busy, and doing things his own way. He also had his favorite television pastimes, including watching wrestling and keeping up with his soap operas. Whether he was out in the garden, working on a mower, or settled in watching television, Paul enjoyed the things that made up everyday life.

Paul will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his mechanical abilities, his love of the outdoors, and his independent spirit. He was the kind of man who could usually find something to work on, something to fix, or something to keep him busy.

He is survived by three children: Chris Baldwin (Angela), Tim Baldwin (Hannah), and Serena; along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his brother Raymond Baldwin (Kathy), who will carry on his memories and stories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stewart Baldwin and Addie Mae Phillips Baldwin; one daughter,  Tonya Hayes (Lin); and one grandson.

Paul leaves behind plenty of memories of a man who enjoyed the simple things in life, knew his way around a toolbox, and could always find something to tinker with. He may have left a few unfinished projects behind, but those who knew him will remember him just as he was: a hardworking man who enjoyed the outdoors, a good fishing or hunting trip, a growing garden, and never being too far away from something that needed fixing.
