Pam was born September 12, 1954 to Howard and Virginia Sload in Paducah, KY. She attended school in Memphis, Healy Fork, Alaska and Owensboro, KY. She then attended Western Kentucky University majoring in Performing Music and Chemistry.
In 1981 she met a Navy pilot at an airshow and the next year they were married. In 1986 she was hired by the Department of the Navy as a logistician servicing and installing submarine sonar systems (including the Navy’s DSRVs), then Naval artillery and antiaircraft weapons. She retired from this position in 2016. Pam and her husband visited dozens of countries before moving to Arkansas.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Ed, three sisters (Charlotte, Jody and Donna), 4 sons (Dewayne, Anthony, William and Erik) and one daughter (Roeschelle) along with 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with two more expected this fall. She dearly loved her Arkansas neighbors and considered them family as well.
