Otha Gardner

Otha Nell Gardner, 82 of Lonoke was born to the late Henry and Gladys Hill on May 7, 1934 in Bay, Arkansas, and passed away January 5, 2017. She was a graduate of Sikeston High School. After graduation she went to work at Woolworth and Company, and married the late Joseph Gardner. They had two sons, the late Terry Gardner and Glenn Gardner of Lonoke. Otha worked at and retired from McCrary’s clothing store, a job she dearly loved. After retiring she went to work at Lonoke Exceptional Development Center until she was no longer able to work. Otha is survived by one son, Glenn Gardner; one sister, Mary (Dallas) Rhodes; four brothers, Sonny (Joyce) Hill, Ronnie (Gail) Hill, Larry Hill and Jerry Hill, and one grandson, Gene Loretz, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom will dearly miss her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lonoke Exceptional Development Center, or the American Diabetes Foundation. The family will greet friends Monday, January 9, from 12pm until 2pm at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, before the service begins at 2pm.
