Norene Pope

Norene C. Pope went home to be with our Lord June 16, 2013 after a long battle with heart problems. She worked for several years as a CNA and eventually went into doing home health care where she touched so many lives with her love and thoughtfulness. She stopped home health care to work at the Lonoke Senior Citizen Center as a helper to Barbara Williams. At the same time getting her apartment at the center, she commented both were a prayer answered and a great blessing. Norene was a member of Rock City Harvest Church in Sherwood.
She is preceded in death by her parents Strill and Maurine Chadwick, brothers Earl and Chuck Carter. She is survived by a daughter Jeannie (John) Tinsley of Jacksonville, son Billy (Jenny) Pope of Louisiana, one brother Bob (Jeannie) Chadwick of Bryant, two sisters, Jean (Melvin) Levitch of Tennessee and Patricia (Jim) Butler of Lonoke, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and a lot of wonderful friends.
Visitation; 10-11:30 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Friday, June 21. Graveside service following at 12:00 p.m. in Brownsville Cemetery.
