Mary Evelyn Glover, 89, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 3, 2026. She was born on January 4, 1937, to Hazel Castleberry Holland and Leon Holland, and grew up in a farming family that instilled in her a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for simple pleasures.
Mary dedicated her professional life to serving others, first as a teacher and later through a long and meaningful career with the Department of Human Services. Her sharp mind and intellectual curiosity remained with her throughout her life. She was a voracious reader who loved learning, and she brought that same enthusiasm to her travels and her beloved rose gardens.
Above all, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and light touched everyone who knew her. She cherished time with her grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dan Glover. She is survived by her children, Christy Lynn McDaniel (Pat), Marijo McCain (Ken), and Joe Glover (Sarah); and her five grandchildren, Paige Leigh Gibbs (Daniel), Logan McCain, Mary Margaret McDaniel (Chance), Joseph Glover, and Grace Glover.
A private ceremony will be held for immediate family. For those who wish to honor Mary’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association
