Marta Dulaney

Marta Rye Dulaney, age 68, was called home to our lord on Feb. 25th ,2022 after a valiant fight with cancer. Marta was born in Lonoke to parents J.W (Jiggs) Rye and Barbara Lucas on January 13, 1954.She later went on to marry her high school sweetheart Leonard Dulaney. Marta and Leonard were married for 53 years. She worked at Maybelline and retired after more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, proud parent and even prouder Mama to all her grandchildren. Marta will be remembered as the one who always had open arms and a warm hug. She loved to cook for the family and her home was a place of comfort and good memories.

She was preceded in death by her father, J.W, (Jiggs) Rye and step-father, J.W (Jay) Lucas. Marta is survived by mother, Barbara Lucas; sister, Darla (Al) Blowers; 3 step-sisters and 1 step-brother; husband, Leonard B. Dulaney; children , Lesley (Kevin) Henson and Jarrett (Marla) Dulaney; grandchildren, Kayla Thompson, Dylan (Karli) Elmore, Baileigh Dulaney, David Braswells, Rory Dulaney, Baleigh Bradley, Kaleigh Bradley, Ashleigh  Bradley, Hannah Henson and Brooke Henson; great-grandchildren, Dane Adamson, ,Dylan S. Elmore, and Christian Yancy; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke on Thursday March 3. Viewing will start at 1:00 pm with services beginning at 2:00 pm. Graveside service following funeral in Lonoke Cemetery.
