Margaret "Gayle" Benafield Hill

Margaret “Gayle” Benafield Hill, born March 20, 1942, to Charles Hughes Benafield and Myrtle Dean Woosley of Scott, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Gayle was a proud graduate of Lonoke High School, Class of 1960. Shortly after graduating, she married the love of her life, Ronnie Wayne Hill, on September 23, 1960. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and devotion to one another. Gayle dedicated more than 39 years of her life to Remington Arms, where she worked until her retirement in August of 2010. Her long career was a testament to her dedication, perseverance, and strong work ethic. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was one of her greatest joys, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the generations. Gayle is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 66 years, Ronnie Hill; her son, Kevin Hill (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Kayla Flores (Christopher), River Hill, and Kynleigh Hill; her sisters, Lynda Kinsey and Rita Henard; her brother, Danny Benafield; her niece, Julie Benafield; and 3 great grandchildren, along with many other family members and loved ones who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Dean Woosley; her father, Charles Hughes Benafield; her brothers, Julius Benafield and Larry Holler; and her sister, Nita Wilson. Gayle will be remembered for the life she built, the family she loved, and the many years she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory and the love she gave to her family will live on in their hearts.

A visitation will begin at 11:00am, Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the First Assembly of God located at 1763 W Front Street, Lonoke, Arkansas. A celebration of her Life will begin at 12:00pm. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
