LONOKE- Lori G . Col e , 51, of Lonoke went to be with her heavenly father surrounded by her loving family Sunday, August 2 8 , 2016 , after a 16-year hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on March 13, 1965 , to Henry and Hazel Lyons of Stuttgart.
Lori's dynamic personality was larger than life. She was the ultimate hostess, whether it was a pool party with her overflowing pots of vibrant flowers or a family gathering around her kitchen table filled with food and laughter. Her courage , unwavering faith , and love for others were an example to all who knew her. Lori faced each day as a tenacious warrior never leaving home without her makeu p , bling and beaming smile. She was strong and compassionate , and her generosity had no limits. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and extremely active with American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.
She is survived by her husband, Art Cole of Lonoke , her children, Parker (Claire) Cole of Fayetteville and Natasha (Brock) Durham of Cabot, and two grandchildre n , Emma and Cole Durham of Cabot. She is also survived by her brothers Mike (Aree) Lyons of Lexington Par k , MD , and Tommy (Christy) Lyons of Lonoke , as well as nieces Jaime Lyons , Jennifer Lyons , and Janet Lyons , and nephews Michael (Molly) Lyons , Matt Lyon s , and Ben Lyons along with countless close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Hazel Lyons , one brother, Rodney (Robin) Lyons , one nephew , Jacob Lyons.
Visitation will be held Frida y , Septembe r 2 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot. Funeral services will be at 1 1 a.m. on Saturday , September 3 also at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at CARTI and Dr. Omer Khalil as well a s the staff at Baptist Health Medical Center at Springhill, Phyllis Powell and Faye Hainley for their love and car e .
