Lola Frances Walker, born April 1, 1933 to Harry Benjamin and Ethel Simpson Ward, died September 3, 2014.
In her early childhood she was surrounded by a large family; LeRoy, Eugene, Benny, Howard, Nancy, Dwight, Verdie, Leon, Brenda, Rayford, Jerry, and Chris Ward.
On November 19, 1948 she married Carl Thomas Walker. This union gave them six children; Bonnie Myers, Thomas Ray Walker, Carl William (Shirley) Walker, Carlton Wendell (Sue) Walker, Vanessa Diane (Mickey) Graham and Michael Dewayne (JoSara) Walker.
Frances enjoyed seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Frances was a farmer’s wife, a mother to numerous children, and she and Carl cooked and fed most of Carlisle in her lifetime. Everyone remembers the donut shop where friends and family gathered.
Frances was a Baptist by faith and was always ready to share her faith in Jesus to anyone who would listen.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on September 5th at Trinity Baptist Church, three miles north of Carlisle on Hwy 13. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
