Kenneth Dinkins

Kenneth Ray Dinkins, 74, of Lonoke, AR went to be with his Lord Sunday, November 11,2018 at St. Vincent Hospital North.

He was born in 1944 at Clarkton, MO. To the late James Reed Dinkins and Oma Vickily Sears Dinkins.

Kenneth was married in Malden MO. In 1965 to Alma Geraldine Moore. He was a devoted husband and father to their two children.

He graduated from Sunset School of preaching in Lubbock, TX. In 1969. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts from Pittsburg State University. Pittsburg KS.

He shared the gospel message in several churches from West Texas to New Jersey. He taught Freshman English in several colleges and Universities in those same locals. At times he sold insurance, earning a trip to Munich, Germany for himself and Geraldine. He loved to read and write books.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alma Geraldine Dinkins; a daughter, Teresa (Kevin) Parsons of California, Maryland; a son, Kenneth Ray Dinkins, Jr. of Westminster Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy (Lindsey) Parsons, Ashley (Jeremy) Duncan, PFC Ryan Parsons and Sean McCaffery; 3 great grandchildren, Blakely Duncan, Nathan Parsons, and Levi Duncan; a brother Reed Leon Dinkins and many nieces, nephews and cousins, who all loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oma and Reed Dinkins, a brother, James Donald Dinkins and a sister, Marie Agnes McLemore.

A heartfelt thanks is extended to our Christian family at Palm Street Church of Christ who have given so much loving support. A special thanks to the staff at St. Vincent North.
