Jw Elkins, Jr.

J.W. Elkins, Jr., 93 of Cabot went home to his heavenly father and Ruby, his wife of 66 years on November 24, 2019. He was born in Old Austin, Arkansas on April 13, 1926. He was a WWII veteran. J.W. was an avid fan of Blue Grass and Country music, loved camping and enjoyed driving the bus for Mt. Carmel Youth. He also enjoyed sitting outside and waving at people as they drove by his home. J.W. was preceded in death by his wife, parents, John and Bertha Elkins, sister Ruthie Weeks and granddaughter, Amanda Yates. He is survived by daughters, Linda (Fred) Campbell and Carole Gardner; son, Jimmy (Donna) Elkins; 5 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Church, Cabot with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
