Joyce Ealy

November 14, 1944 — October 29, 2017

Joyce Bogard Ealy was born in Carlisle Arkansas, November 14, 1945, to the late Walter and Jeanette Nichols Bogard. Parents and her twin brother Royce preceded her in death.  She was educated at West Side Elementary School, in Carlisle, Arkansas, Carver High in Lonoke, Arkansas and at the Junior Baptist College of Little Rock, Arkansas. She later married the late Eldridge Ealy.

Joyce joined and remained a faithful member of Mt Zion Baptist Church.  She truly loved her church and served in many capacities, sang in the choir, children’s Sunday School Teacher, Delegate to Baptist Congress, and Usher.  Just this year she was instrumental in helping plan Mt Zion’s 153rd Church Anniversary.

Joyce took joy in reading her bible which she did daily.  Although she never had children of her own her great love for children was evident in her inter action she had with them.

Her Heavenly Father called her home to be with Him on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 1:45 PM.  She leaves to cherish memories, her sister, Alice Marie Bogard Washington, St Louis, MO, nieces, Ekila D Herenton (Duke), Memphis, Tennessee, Marie A Washington, Charlotte, North Carolina, nephew Emery Washington, Jr (Sonya), St Louis, MO, great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11th at My Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle. Family and Friends visitation will be one hour prior to service.
