John “Johnny” Marvin Brumett, 64, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1960, in Tipton, Oklahoma, to Donald Ray “P.O.” Brumett, Sr. and Shirley (Glover) Lewis.
Johnny graduated from Lonoke High School in 1979 and was a proud Jackrabbit alumni. He spent most of his life on the road as a truck driver. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Razorbacks. Known for his unforgettable laugh and gift for storytelling, he brought joy to those around him with his humor. Above all, Johnny cherished his loved ones deeply—especially his mother, brothers, and daughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Lynn Brumett. His mother, Shirley (Glover) Lewis. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray “P.O.” Brumett, Sr.
Johnny is also survived by his eldest brother, Donald Brumett, Jr., and his wife Donna; his niece, Stephanie Brumett and nephew, J.C. Brumett (Grace). His middle brother, Clay Brumett, and his wife Jo Ellen Brumett; his nieces Kylee Hoover (Adam), and Amber Earhart (Turner). Three great nephews; Triston, Auston, and Kingston Hoover and one great-great niece Kinsley Hoover.
He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins, and his lifelong best friend, Larry Colclasure.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Arkansas.
