Jerry Chivers
December 4, 1940 — April 8, 2015
Jerry L. Chivers, age 74, passed away at his home April 8, 2015. He was born Dec 4, 1940 and was a lifetime resident of Lonoke. Throughout his life he showed a passion for Horses, green pastures and all things cowboy. He acquired many trophies for bronc/ bull riding and other sports that were atop a horse.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Florence Smith.
Survivors include his children, Kim Lloyd, Jill Graves and Chris Chivers. Jerry’s life demonstrated a deep love for his children, especially his grandchildren, Tiffany Gattis, Brady Graves, John Tyler Lloyd, Hunter Graves, Maddie Graves, Payton Chivers, and great-grandchildren, Emma Claire and Ruger Gattis. Along with his children, Jerry was cared for by Carla DuVall, whom he loved like a daughter.
The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, April 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. An outdoor service will be held at the Lonoke Cemetery Pavilion Saturday, April 11 at 2p.m. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
