Jerelene Hill

April 21, 1933 — January 8, 2017

Jerelene Duncan Hill age 83 of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born April 12, 1933 in Quitman, Arkansas to Omar and Dovie Duncan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother O.D. Stevenson. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richelieu Hill, son Ricky Hill (Cynthia) and two grandchildren, Glenn and Julie all of Cabot. She had two very special sisters-in-law that helped take care of her during the final years of her life, Opal Stevenson and Beulah Pearson. Jerelene was a member of Bayou Meto Church in Lonoke and a graduate of Quitman High School. She retired from Democrat Printing and Lithograph (DPandL) where she worked for 20+ years. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables and watching her grandkids compete in sporting events and other activities. She was known for her genuine sincerity for others and her never ending work ethic. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Bayou Meto Church, c/o Darrell Cox, 1104 Lincoln Street,Lonoke, AR 72086 or Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 10411 W. Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, AR 72205-1409. The family will receive friends Tuesday 12 pm at Bayou Meto Church, Lonoke, with funeral service following at 1pm. Interment will be in Legate Cemetery by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
