Jason Eugene Munnerlyn went home to his heavenly Father on June 4, 2024, at the age of 50 years. He was born in North Little Rock on June 4, 1974, to Orval and Phyllis Munnerlyn. Jason is survived by his parents, Orval and Phyllis Munnerlyn; two sisters, Shannon Williams (Scott) of Little Rock and Robin Beavers (Michael) of Austin; two children, Jonathan Munnerlyn and Rebecca Munnerlyn of Hazen; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jason grew up in Lonoke and graduated in 1992 from Lonoke High. He attended Central Baptist College, and was a member of the choir. After college he took a position with Blue Cross Blue Shield where he worked for almost 25 years.
Jason was an avid hunter and fisherman and looked forward to spending those times with dad. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Ward and never failed to be a Christian example to those around him. He loved singing and music and often directed music at Charity.
Jason was also a huge fan of Star Wars. Anyone walking into his offices at home or at Blue Cross Blue Shield would instantly know that. There was Star Wars memorabilia displayed everywhere.Jason was kind and had a big heart for helping others. He will be missed by family and friends and we all look forward to seeing him again in glory.
