Gloria Jean Palmer of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 73. Gloria was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on August 11, 1952, Gloria's warm and vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she met, and her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Gloria was the beloved daughter of Alois Banaszak and Betty Nedorolik (Andrew). She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her husband Thomas Palmer, her sister Betty Grappe, and her brother Andy Banaszak. Gloria is survived by her son, Chris Jones (Sandy), and her daughter, Jennifer Shepherd. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Candy Ward (Jerry) and Kathy Spencer (Paul), as well as her brother Simon Jendrejas. She loved her family dearly, and had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She also cherished her many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
A proud graduate of North Little Rock High School, Gloria's dedication and hard work were evident throughout her career in the accounting departments of local businesses, where she made many dear friends. Beyond her professional life, Gloria's playful spirit shone brightly in her favorite pastime: playing bingo. She found joy in the company of fellow players, and those moments became treasured memories for her and her loved ones. Gloria's courageous battle with cancer showed her resilience and determination, facing each day with grace and dignity. She approached life with an open heart and a vibrant smile, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A funeral service to honor Gloria's remarkable life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke, Arkansas. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate her life and the love she shared so generously. In this time of sorrow, let us remember Gloria not just for her departure but for the indelible mark she left on our hearts. May her soul rest in peace and may her legacy of love and laughter continue to inspire us all.
