Freddie Catherine Gibbs went to her eternal home on July 13, 2023. Born on July 6, 1936, she is survived by a large family. She had four children: Karla (Gary) Ward, Mark (Sondra Campbell) Gibbs, Paul (Karen) Gibbs, and Tonya (Tony) Beeler. They gave her nine grandchildren: Kristi (Michael) Pruitt, Tamra (J.O.) Norman, Shayne (Candace) Gibbs, Allison (Patrick) Raper, Sarah (Brian) Parks, Andrew (Amanda) Gibbs, Tyler (Haley) Gibbs, Storm (Tabitha) Beeler, and Ella Grace Beeler. Additional family included 16 precious great grandchildren, as well as her brother-in-law Don (Velma) Gibbs, sister-in-law Theresa Elliott, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Huey Gibbs, as well as her parents, Fred and Minnie Elliott. She also was preceded by brothers Ray, James, Gordon, Raymond, and Hubert, as well as sisters Louise and Margie.
Freddie co-founded Gibbs Service Company alongside her beloved husband Huey in 1971. She helped grow it from 3 employees to the successful company it is today. She loved to travel, visiting 49 states and multiple countries. She loved gardening, reading, and puzzles. Most of all, she loved having her family gather around her custom built 20 person dining table. She loved her family fiercely, and they returned that to her. She was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Cabot. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Faith Support Ministry at Faith Baptist Church in Cabot, where she was an avid supporter and card writer.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 301 Bill Foster Memorial Hwy E, in Cabot, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Lonoke Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the church.
