Evelyn Rebecca Lenard

Evelyn Rebeca Lenard, 78, of Austin Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, with family members by her side. She was born February 3, 1947, in Searcy, Arkansas, the first child of five to Virginia (Brown) Roe and Jimmie Lewis Johnson, raised by Edward R Roe.

Evelyn and husband Oran Lenard Jr. were married on April 25, 1964. They were married for 35 years when he passed away. Evelyn and her husband lived in Lonoke County, the majority of their lives. On January 24, 1966, their son, Donny Ray Lenard was born. Followed by their daughter, Amanda Kay Lenard on April 1, 1971. Evelyn helped to provide for her family through her business of professional cleaning of homes and offices.

She lived a full life, even after losing her daughter Amanda Kay at a young age of 16. Evelyn and Oran adjusted through the hard times with the love of their family and friends. Evelyn enjoyed traveling with her husband and took lots of trips on Oran’s Gold Wing motorcycle to various places with their motorcycles group. The greatest joy of Evelyn life was when she visited their son, Donny, at his duty station throughout his military career. Both her and Oran loved to visit and help raise their lovely three grandchildren, Melissa, Mitchell, and Nathan. Evelyn continued that devotion with the addition of the fourth grandchild, Natalie. Evelyn’s family continues to grow with the addition of great grandchildren.

These times were priceless to her. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grand-children’s accomplishments. For the last several years of her life, she spent her time surrounded by those grand and great grandchildren. She loved every minute she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oran, daughter Amanda Kay and son Donny Lenard; mother Virginia Roe, brother Jerry Johnson, sister Elaine Carpenter, grandparents Charlie and Hattie Brown and grandmother Lillie Davidson, stepfather Ed Roe, biological father Jimmie Johnson.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her Grandchildren: Melissa Lenard, Mitchell (Jessica) Lenard, Nathan Lenard, Nathalie Lenard, Daughter-in- Law Amanda Lenard. Great-Grandchildren: Ty, Wyatt, Cameron, Aneela, and Conrad; brother Jimme (Shelia) Johnson, sister Janie (Ron) Anderson and many other nieces and nephews. As well as added special individuals in her life that became part of her family to include Ravyn Benoit, Jessica Marie Baker and Dan Davis.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Friday, June 20, 2025, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Lonoke Cemetery.
