Ernest Mason Oliver, 92, passed away on January 23, 2017 in Santa Clara CA. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife of 62 years, Cora Oliver; daughters, Linda Sue Wilkins (Dennis), Cynthia R. Rovnaghi; son Kevin M. Oliver (Mary); grandchildren, James (Olga) Wilkins, Scott Wilkins, Leah Rovnaghi, Laila Whiting, Jessica Maness, Kael Maness, Mason Isaiah Oliver; great-grandchildren Santiago and Victoria Olivia Wilkins, Victoria Rovnaghi, Olivia Whiting, Skyler Forsyth and Aidan Amy.
Ernest was a 60 year member of Masonic Lodge #51 of Lonoke and a 55 year dual member of Hazen and Florence Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was awarded a Purple Heart during World War II and was a patriotic son devoted to his flag and country. Ernest was a member of Santa Clara United Methodist Church and was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Shelter, Wounded Vets, or Team Challenge.
