Earline Cooney

March 12, 1935 — February 9, 2024

Sherwood

Earline Cooney was born in Little Rock on March 12, 1935 to the late Alex Cooney and Gertrude (Graham) Cooney. She was raised in Wattensaw, Arkansas.

Earline accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church in Carlisle, AR. On February 9, 2024, our Heavenly Father, called her home to rest. She was 88 years blessed.

She was a graduate of Carver High School in Lonoke. Earline loved her flowers, especially her roses, and was known to have a "green thumb". She loved cooking homemade meals and dishes for family and friends, definitely can't leave out those wonderful desserts from scratch either.

She was like a second "Mother" to so many, and friends to a lot more. She helped raise several children, and there were a few that she held that special place for: Alice, Mary Ann, Theodore.

Earline was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Gertrude (Graham) Cooney, brothers (Andrew, Henderson, Claude, Robert Cooney), sisters (Thelma Cannon, Adria Briggs).

She leaves to cherish her memories to her 2 children: Nelson Jernard (Janice) Brown, Sandra (Tony) Jones; 6 grandchildren: Jasmin (Dawun) Williams, Nelson Jernard, Tyrek, Marquaylan, Andrew, and Toni; 2 great- grandchildren: Laurin and Kinermon; 3 sister's (Addie Mae Willis, Louella and Annie Cooney), 2 brothers (Clarence and Luther Cooney) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
