Dorothy Elaine Varnell

Dorothy Elaine Varnell, 72, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home into the arms of her Lord on May 9, 2026. Dorothy was born May 21,1953, at Mitchel Field Air Force Base in Hempstead, New York to James and Ora Creech.

Dorothy loved animals, especially her kitty cats. She never met a stranger and really loved to chat with just about anyone but especially her family and friends. Dorothy was a very loving, caring, giving and kind person. She would put everyone at ease with her smile and good humor. She will be missed terribly by all that knew and loved her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Kenneth Varnell, both of her parents and her stepson, David Varnell.

Left to cherish her memory is her stepson, Dennis Varnell and his wife Susie, 3 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 14, 2026, with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00pm at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel.
