David Barnes

David Lynn Barnes, 69, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away at his home on September 28, 2021. He was born September 18, 1952 to the late William Elbert Barnes and Hazel Mae Barnes.

He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Sharon Kay Barnes; son, David Christopher Barnes; grandson, Parker Whitaker and his wife Jayden; sister, Angelia Barnes; brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s, Linda Gardner, Sandy Smith (Randy), Wanda (Tina) Spears, Reno Casteen (Loretta) and Bland Casteen (Paula). In addition there are many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He had many friends including friends of Bill.

David was an Air Force Vet and a graduate of UAMS. He loved outdoor activities, especially if he was hunting or fishing.

He will be interred at Lonoke Cemetery in Lonoke, Arkansas. No funeral will be held as per his request.
