Charlotte Smith

June 13, 1942 — December 28, 2016

Charlotte Marie Smith of Lonoke passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Charlotte was born June 13, 1942 to Rose Churchwell Felton in Carlisle, Arkansas. She was a loving, hard working woman, who raised four boys on her own. No matter the hardships and struggles life threw her way, her faith and loving nature pushed her to be the best daughter, mother, and grandmother she could be.

She is survived by her mother Rose Felton of Lonoke; sisters, Kaye Nickles of Jacksonville, AR, Faye (Joel) Rye of Shalimar, FL., brother, Jimmy (Dorothy) Felton of Lonoke; sons, Randy (Paula) of Benton, Roger, Rickey (Elen), and Raymond, all of Lonoke; grandchildren, Daniel Smith of Illinois, Rodger (Lindsey) Smith of Texas, Rebekah (Damien) Gibson of Alabama, Jacob Smith of Benton, Emily Smith of Lonoke, Jessica Smith of Benton, and Christopher Smith of Lonoke; great-grandchildren, Wyatt David Bair, Tanner Colt Gibson, Wyatt Chase Gibson, and Charlotte Peyton Smith, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She loved giving more than receiving, with every gift given, an anxiously waiting woman ready to see the look on the face of the receiver. She loved cooking for her four boys and their families. Whether it was lasagna or cherry pie, she made it all. Her loving memory will be cherished and will live on in the hearts of those who were there for her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Services will be held immediately after at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Online guest book, www.boydfuneralhome.net.
