Charles Edward Kirtley

Charles Edward Kirtley, 66, of Austin, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on June 12, 2026. Charles was born into a large family on December 12, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Gerald and Marian Kirtley.

Charles loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping with his family as often as possible. He was an extremely hard worker, refusing to stop until everything was just right. Slowing down or retiring was not in his vocabulary. He worked for many years as a Supervisor for Elder Jones Retail General Contracting Firm. Finally, when his health forced him to retire, he still refused to sit still and continued with work on his home and property.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Gerald Ronnie Kirtley and Marian Evelyn Rushing Kirtley and 7 siblings.

Left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of almost 35 years, Ruby Kellar Kirtley; children, Jessica Berg, Heather Vanover, Richard Cravey, Michael Cravey, Christopher Cravey, Fernando Cravey, Andrea Blackall, Anthony Cravy, Anthony Blackall, and Bianca Porter; his siblings, Angie, Tammy, Karen, Melissa, Katheryn, James, Roger, and Debbie; 23 grandchildren and his precious fur babies, Binki, Angel, Trigger, and Charlie.

Charles will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. 

A private family memorial service will be planned at a later date.
