Audra ’Pat’ Vinson Lane, 87 of Cabot, AR passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with myelodysplastic syndrome on April 11, 2026.
She was born in Hickory Ridge, AR to Sarah Jane Boon Betts and William McKinley Betts on June 20, 1938. She was the oldest of eight children. Pat was raised on a farm where she learned the value of hard work early, spending her childhood working in the fields. She attended high school where she played basketball, carrying that same determination and team spirit throughout her life.
Pat later moved to Searcy where she attended Harding University as an art major. It was there she met Carlton Vinson, and they began building a life rooted in love and family. They lived in Van Buren before settling in Cabot in 1971, where they raised their four children, Billy, Ricky, Suzanne and Molly.
Pat became a pillar of the Cabot community through her successful career in real estate. She was equally known and loved for her incredible talent in cake decorating and wedding catering. Her creativity and attention to detail touched countless lives.
Above all else, Pat will be remembered for her unwavering faith and her devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was devoted member of Cabot Church of Christ, where she faithfully taught Sunday school and made it a priority to take her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to church every Sunday. Her legacy of faith will continue for generations.
She is survived by her children, Billy Vinson, Ricky Vinson, Suzanne Vinson Bayles, Molly Vinson Carroll, Viki Vinson, Ali Hefley and Lynn Hefley. Grandchildren; Crystal Holland(Nick), Spencer Vinson, Wesley Vinson, Kailee Walker, Paige Vinson, Heather Geater(Trapper), Heath Bayles(Nicole), Hayden Hefey(Addison), Peyton Vinson(Danielle) and Chloe Hefley. Great-grandchildren; Connor Bieker, Hunter Holland, Saylor Holland, Matthew Vinson, Olivia Geater, Owen Greater, Hudson Bayles, Bella Bayles, Harland Bayles, Mariah Hagan and Hayden Wampler.
For 11 years, Pat bravely fought myelodysplastic syndrome with strength, grace and resilience. North Little Rock CARTI and Springhill Baptist Infusion Center became like a second home, where she formed many meaningful friendships along the way.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Khalil for his exceptional care and compassion, and to Hospice Home Care for their support during her final days.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, April 15th at Cabot Church of Christ. A visitation will also be at the church on Tuesday night, 6-8pm. Burial will be in Betts Cemetery in Woodruff County, AR.
Pat’s life was a reflection of service, love, faith and dedication to others. She leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
