Archie Evans
January 13, 1931 — January 1, 2014
Archie “Tank” Evans, age 82, died January 1, 2014. He was a 21 year veteran of the US Navy. He is survived by his wife Vera Evans; one daughter Sharon Evans of Pontotoc, Mississippi; step-children, Kaye McNeese, Mike Hamm and Melissa Hamm;
Six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud Evans, Bobby Evans and Charlie Evans; sisters, Anna May Wiles, Brenda Kay Womack, Mary Welch, Darlene Harper and Susie Clariday.
He is preceded in death by a daughter Lynn Evans, step-daughter Faye Hamm, brothers Bucky and Ernie Evans, and a sister, Lois Marie Evans.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 3 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 4 at Brownsville Baptist Church with interment in Brownsville Cemetery. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
