Annie Lee Elmore, 87, of Lonoke, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. Ann was born December 12, 1938, in Butlerville, Arkansas to Lillie Pearl (Abshure) and Charles Marshall Bryant. She attended a small one room school in the Woodlawn community until it consolidated with the Cabot School District where she graduated. Ann began working for Timex in Little Rock where she met Leroy Elmore. They married on May 12, 1959, and had two daughters.
Ann later graduated from UALR and became a second-grade teacher in Lonoke. She went back to school and earned her master’s degree and then became the school librarian at the Lonoke Primary School. Ann loved her family deeply. Taking care of them was very important to her. She loved to travel and just be on the go, never wanting to sit still too long. Her last big trip was to revisit South Dakota with Sandra.
Preceding her in death, both her parents, and her beloved husband of forty-five years, Edward Leroy Elmore.
Left to cherish her memory, her brother, Woody (Sandra) Bryant of Austin, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Pat Latimer of Heber Springs, Arkansas; daughters, Sandra Wood of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Kay (Mark) Ewalt of Cabot, Arkansas; grandchildren, Christopher Wood of North Little Rock, Sarah (Cesar) Merlos of North Little Rock; great-grandchildren, David Wood, Mateo Merlos, and Max Merlos all of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families.
Visitation will be 1:00pm, Thursday, February 5, 2026, with the funeral service beginning at 1:30pm at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
