Alberta Carroll, born in Lonoke, Arkansas on November 26, 1931 to the late Love Burton, Sr. and Mary Tavorn Burton, died February 25, 2014. She retired from Hospital Environmental Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marion “Charles” Carroll, two brothers Willie Burton, Earnest “Sony” Burton and two sisters Bertha “Chick” Davis and Betty “Sis” Rutledge.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children James Shavers and Carol (Kenny) McElroy of Lonoke, Linda Arberry and Joyce Kirkland of San Diego, CA; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two Brothers Love “LB” Burton, Jr of Chicago, IL and Robert “Bro” (Mamie) Burton, Sr. of Lonoke; two sisters Alma (Curtis) Hart of Lonoke and Velma (Bay) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, March 3 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 4 at St James Methodist Church with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.www.boydfuneralhome.net.
